Help Support Cape
Cod Community College’s Project
Forward Program on June 21sT!
For many years, SOMA athletes
have been accomplishing amazing
things beyond the playing field.
Many of our athletes have
attended and completed CCCC’s
Project Forward- a “vocational
training skills program for
students with significant
learning difficulties,”
Below is a testimonial from SOMA
parent and long time Project
Forward supporter Kathy Bent:
“As you may know, through
Project Forward, Cape Cod
Community College offers
vocational education programs
for students with disabilities.
The program has grown over the
years, and in fact, has outgrown
its space, so that the current
situation is seriously deficient
for the staff and students. As
a result, the College is
embarking on a fundraising
campaign to renovate and expand
Project Forward's space on
campus. I have a deep commitment
to keeping Project Forward as
vital and high-quality as it has
been, as I hope the program will
be available for my own
daughter, Sarah, when the time
comes. CCCC is in the "silent
phase" of this campaign, but on
May 21, we will have fundraiser
at Willowbend Country Club, on
the eve of the Project Forward
Graduation ceremony the next
day. While the fundraising is
directed primarily at the
parents whose sons and daughters
have benefited from the program,
we want to be sure that everyone
who may be interested is aware
of this opportunity to help.” –
